How long does chinese mushroom rice last in the fridge?

Chinese mushroom rice can be stored in the fridge for up to four days after cooking, provided that it has been stored properly in an airtight container. To ensure that the rice stays fresh and does not spoil, it is best to cool it down quickly after cooking by placing it in the fridge within two hours. When reheating the rice, it is important to heat it to a temperature of at least 165°F (74°C) to kill any bacteria that may have accumulated during storage. If the rice has been left out at room temperature for more than two hours, it should be discarded to avoid the risk of food poisoning.

Low calorie chinese mushroom rice recipe substitutions

To make this recipe lower calorie, some substitutions can be made. Firstly, brown rice can be used instead of white rice, as it contains more fiber and is more filling. Secondly, the amount of oil used can be reduced and a non-stick pan can be used for stir-frying. Also, low-sodium soy sauce can be used instead of regular soy sauce to reduce the sodium content of the dish. Finally, instead of oyster sauce, a mixture of low-sodium chicken broth and cornstarch can be used to thicken the sauce, which would help to reduce calories.
