  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

  4. Pour 2 and 1/2 cups of water into the pot and bring it to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the pot with a tight lid. Simmer the rice for about 18-20 minutes or until the water has been absorbed and the rice is cooked.
  6. Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes to steam and fluff up the rice.
